TIME

20-40 min, depending on how long you let the batter swell.

buttermilk waffles

Recipe:
3,5 oz (100 g) rolled oats / oatmeal flour or mix them, the more whole oats, the more “texture” it will give the consistency.
3 egg whites
1 cup (2.5 dl) buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
For extra flavor add: 1-2 teaspoons calorie free sweetener, 1 teaspoon cardamom, pinch of salt, add half a pipe vanilla stevia for a more sweet vanilla aroma.

Preparation
Mix together all ingredients. Let the batter swell for 20-30 minutes for the best results. Use PAM spray or other low-calorie spray on the waffle iron so the waffles do not stick. Remember to warm up the iron before you start frying them. Make jam from some frozen berries you warm in the micro or go crazy with peanut butter or Nutella. Enjoy without guilt.

Make a double batch and bring some healthy buttermilk waffles for packed lunches. They stay juicy for a long time.
